Are you still looking for The Way?
You missed it, didn't you? You missed it when you weren't paying attention.
You didn't buckle down quick enough, or stop playing long enough.
You didn't take your father/mother/grandfather/sister/cousin/brother
/friend or auntie seriously enough...
And you missed it.
Is that what you tell yourself?
Is that what keeps you doubting your rightness, your goodness, your inherit brilliance?
Here is the truth.
You are The Way.
Every step you take is Your Way.
The Only Way.
You were going the Right Way when you were busy playing, when you were tuning out and tuning in, when you were unbuckled and buckled, chaotic, calm, lazy, crazy, inspired, desperate, panicked and free. You've never been going any other way but The Way.
Here is the other truth.
There is no Way.
There is only Now.
There is only a circle. A lustrous ribbon-like circle. It pulses and breathes and snakes and weaves.
It is cyclic life happening all around you.
It is nature rising and falling and rising again.
It is not dependent on any imposed structure of schedule or rule. It does not offer extra credit nor does it send you to detention hall.
It is only concerned with the balance of being.
Here you are Now, with a choice.
Create a cage for yourself and engage in the struggle against your own just-fine-how-you-are-ness.
Use your time in constant quest for that unattainable achievement, that illusive permission slip of happiness.
Remember that time is made-up.
Use every breath to trust your own perfection.
Imagine there is no race to win, no formula to memorize, no confession to seek.
Live as if your imagination births reality
because - indeed - it does.
Then look amazed into the palms of your hands.
Listen, in awe, to the sound of your own voice, singing.
And be on your way.
